What do you need to set up a successful online store?

Did you know that nearly 85% of online entrepreneurs fail? Do you know why? Because it's so accessible to everyone. You can become an entrepreneur in no time, but becoming a successful entrepreneur is harder. In this article, you'll learn more about what to look out for to start a successful online store.

1. Enormous willpower and 100% commitment

It sounds so cheesy, but it remains true. Mindset is everything when you want to learn something new. Because in 9 out of 10 cases, you're just super bad at first. You learn as you do. So if you don't succeed right away the first time, don't give up and just try again. Ask for help from an expert. And see it as a learning process just like learning to drive a car, at the beginning you think how am I ever going to be able to do this and then you do it without thinking about it. If you remember this and therefore don't have the expectation that you will turn over a million the first day, then you are going to be just fine!

2. Focus on selling

So many new webshop owners spend too long getting the site ready, thinking about legal things, thinking about what they want to sell etc etc. This costs them an enormous amount of time and effort, while you don't really know anything yet. How often we see that people start with a strong motivation, think about a product for a long time, finally make a choice after months and this product does not sell at all or that you simply do not understand anything about advertising. Often everyone quits after this, because they have already put so much effort and time into it and then it flops completely. That, of course, is no fun.

My advice: TEST TEST TEST, you'll never know anything if you haven't tested it. Sometimes you think "well now I've found a great product" and then it sells like crap. And sometimes you have a product that you think "well who wants this" and it sells like crazy. You often cannot know, even if you do get better after years of experience in finding good products. So, don't think too long, get started advertising and testing as soon as possible!

3. A conversion-oriented website

Conversion-oriented means that your site easily guides visitors to a purchase. Even more easily put: a Web site that works nicely. You want people to be able to scroll through your site easily and find the "add to cart" button quickly and effortlessly and then checkout easily. An example of this is the " add to cart bar " that we often use for shops. The button remains constantly in view, so when the visitor thinks for even a second well let me buy it then the button is there to receive them! In short, make sure your site is optimized for selling products and not just looking pretty.
